Gentlemen's Recess plans guys' trips. We keep what the app needs to do that, and nothing to sell.
What we keep
- Your name, and your email if you add one. Guests have no email: the phone keeps a sign-in cookie.
- Your Venmo, PayPal or Cash App handle, if you add one, so the guys can pay you back.
- Your crews, your answers to trip polls and RSVPs, scores, receipts you add, and the Hall of Fame.
- Simple usage counts, like "a crew was started" or "a score was recorded", to see what's working.
- Feedback you send, with the page and device type.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't run ads.
- We never handle money. Pay links open Venmo, PayPal or Cash App, and the money goes straight between the guys.
- Recap pages you share show names and scores, never emails or payment handles.
Who sees what
Members of a crew see that crew's members, trips, scores and receipts. Anyone with a recap link sees that recap. Anyone with an invite link sees the crew's name and how many are in.
Your data, your call
In the app, open your account to download everything we hold about you as a file, or delete your account. If you run a crew, it goes to your co-captain first; a crew of just you is deleted with you.
We send sign-in links you ask for. If you sign up for Field Guides, we send those a few times a year, and you can stop them with one click.
Questions
Use the feedback box in the app. A person reads every one.
